I have a particular passion counseling individuals from diverse cultures, first-generation immigrant Latinos and young professionals! It makes a valuable difference in a counseling experience and healing when you are guided by a therapist who genuinely cares and recognizes the nuances of culture, race, and family dynamics.
I understand how difficult it can be to seek help and open when facing stigma against mental health and I strive to cultivate a comfortable space where you feel validated, heard, and acknowledged for exactly who you are.
If you feel overwhelmed by anxious feelings, career burnout, hard decisions, or feeling down about your life and relationships - I will help you make sense of those feelings, navigate them, and function better day-to-day.

For parents and new parents, I bring my experience and training to help you navigate the logistical and emotional challenges of pregnancy and parenting. Together we can identify your supports, strengths, and create a plan to ensure you have what you need to parent confidently each day. The first half of my career I worked as a child therapist and the second half of my career I have chosen to work with adults, couples, and parents. As a therapist and a mother, I have deep empathy for the struggles that life brings to adulthood and parenting.
Alongside young professionals, I help you to understand yourself and create a meaningful role for yourself in today’s world. Areas of focus may include couples therapy, family relationships, vocation, finances, and establishing healthy daily routines. You will leave each appointment with a “take away” assignment or reflection to continue your growth in between our meetings.
My therapeutic orientation is integrative, viewing each person and his/her journey as unique, and have made it my responsibility to be competent when drawing on various theories and strategies to better support your treatment. Some trainings include but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples, Psychodynamic, and ACUDETOX.
